The Secrets of the Swingyde Golf Training Aid

imageI have been playing golf for years and have tried all sorts of swing aids and paid out thousands of dollars in coaching so when a friend of mine suggested trying out the Golf Swingyde training aid, I gave him a sceptical look and mumbled some derisive comments under my breath! The sheer thought of trying another contraption that was meant to somehow transform me into a “World Class Golfer” in a matter of minutes as just beyond a joke. Things became even more hilarious when he pulled this yellow bit of plastic and an elastic band from his pocket and suggested that I give it a whirl.

Anyway, to cut a long tale small, he talked me into giving up 5 minutes and a couple of my practice balls by telling me that I would be amazed by the difference in my swing after few drives using the Swingyde golf training aid.

So, I reluctantly took the Swingyde and attached it to my golf club and headed over to the practice range clutching an elastic band in my other hand. My friend clarified to me that the thought of the Swingyde is that it keeps your arms and wrists in the right position to maintain a perfect swing arc. The real benefit is that if you use it regularly to practice then it can help you to develop the habit of keeping your arms and wrists in the right position, even when you’re not using the Swingyde. On reaching the booth, and feeling a small silly, I through a few balls down on the ground and got into position.

First, I tried a few practice swings, without the elastic band in place. I just couldn’t yet bring myself to getting strapped into this small yellow piece of practice and thought that at least I no one would notice if I wasn’t physically attached to it! But, as a I swung, I found myself concentrating too much on the position of the Swingyde, rather than relaxing and allowing it to guide me though my swing. So, I finally gave in and attached the elastic band and I’m glad I did! The band helps to keep the Swingyde in position and when you bring your arms up to the top of the swing, the Swingyde just falls into place.

I am reluctant to admit that this unassuming piece of plastic could transform my swing quite so quickly but I have to say that I have never seen such an improvement in my game. From having a particularly terrible day, slicing the golf ball all over the place, I went to driving the ball in a straight line over 200 yards – which is nothing small of a miracle for me! In my opinion, this small gadget is a god-send for golfers like me and I’ve since rushed out and bought my very own Swingyde.

This kid thinks he is excellent because he is wearing Maui Jims and a shirt from Spyglass Hill. He is at some ghetto course with YELLOW range balls. How does he not hit himself in the ribs on the downswing? What a hack…

Golf GPS: Great Technology

Golf is one of the favorite pastimes across the world, and one of the best things about golf these days is that of the technology that has been place into it. For instance, there is certain golf GPS golf balls that are out now, which are basically regular golf balls that have GPS technology in them, so that you can find your ball, wherever it happens to go.

More About Golf GPS Technology

Golf GPS technology is really a wonderful thing, as for anyone who has played golf knows, there are times when your game just doesn’t seem to be on and your balls end up all over the place. Far too often we cannot even end up finding some of the balls, and this is where golf GPS technology comes into play.

The golf GPS technology that is inside these particular and special golf balls is truly marvelous, as all you need to do when you lose your ball and can’t find it is check on the GPS tracker (which comes with the balls when you get them), and then it will tell you how to get to your ball.

It is basically just like the GPS technology that is in most cars these days, which tells you what route to take to get to a place that you have specified, only in this case rather than getting around the neighborhood you are getting around the golf course to find your missing golf ball.

You are going to have to realize but that if you want golf balls such as these you are going to have to pay more for them, and so if you are willing to do this, then fantastic, go ahead and do it, but if you cannot afford it, then you should just stick to regular golf balls.

But at the same time you should reckon about the fact of how if you add up all of the regular golf balls that you lose each year, then you would see that you are losing a fantastic deal of money. Whereas if you had balls such as these, you would never lose them and so thus you would really be saving money.

This is why it is generally worth it to get them, and if you are interested, then you can go into any golf store and they should be supplied with them, and if not, you can question them where you can go to find some.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I MADE GREG PROUD I MADE GREG PROUD I MADE GREG PROUD.

After one long term and one long week of working on the bloody swing plane, I got it! I GOT IT, I GOT IT AND I MADE GREG PROUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! I just got tired of point 1, 2, 3, i skipped from 1-3 then suddenly he said ‘Oh My God’ I thought he was mad that I skipped point 2 but he just went, ‘That was perfect!’ AAAAAAAAAAAAAH I like my coach.

Then later on when I was waiting for my mum to pick me up, he sat on the bench next to me and started saying how hard-working people made him feel pleased (by hard-working he meant Darryl and today, me) and I was faltering, Lutton had to remind me to focus when I was spraying water on Thomas and Greg said, ‘Mary Anne!’ and pointed to my eyes and the golf balls. Hah. Next training, I’m going to try and make it so that no one has to remind me to pay attention.

I hit with Sera’s clubs again today and geez, I really want R7 Regulars,  hers are stiff, and I want them covered because my Callaways are scratched from the shaking. But I will be open and try other brands at the Panwest store at Pemimpin. OH OH OH, AND, Greg promised to help me get rid of my clubs : D. And then head to The Cathay Taylormade store, hoohoo : D.

On a scale of 1-10, today’s mood is an 11.

Ah and I MADE GREG PROUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! : D I’m going to the girl-version-of-Darryl and work hard. But less robotic lah, I’ll go out more than he does : D. HAHA WHOOPS. I’m talking about during training, the so-focused-nothing-can-tear-the-concentration.

The Importance of Choosing the Right Golf Ball – Part 3
February 14, 2010, 1:33 am

imageGolfers who have a swing which is tour like will swing 110 mph and higher. These golfers have the ability to compress their drives and long irons. They usually benefit more from using the softer ball.

Some of these golfers use a three or even a four-piece ball which allows them to generate around the greens easily. This category of a ball can be found as the Bridgestone Tour B330 Series, Nike One series, Callaway Tour series, TaylorMade TP, Titleist Pro V1, and more.

Another consideration you will find with balls is the price. The softer the ball is and the more pieces will be more expensive. These multiplayers can cost more than $40 while the two-piece balls can run around $20.

When choosing a golf ball you should consider a few things. You may lack distance in your play because you are using the incorrect type of golf ball. The softer and more expensive golf balls are for the professionals who can swing the club over 100 mph.

You might reckon the most expensive is always the best but if you are not one of the best they will not help you. The best ball for a slow swinger are the cheaper two-piece golf balls. They will help you add distance to every long shot.

Stick with me and you will shortly be learning more about improving your game. In the next few articles we will go on and start talking about which clubs to use. We are navigating slightly complicated territory so you will want to pay attention and pick up as much information as you can.
